Top Times and Best Performances
Setting the Results Explorer
The basis for seed times is from the Top Times. This is a Big Button you will see on the main screen. If you press the button, you will see the Top Times for swimmers. Now, if you do this before completing a meet there will be NO times to display.
To create the Top Times, the first thing you must do is to set a meet to be completed. You do this from the Results Explorer by pressing either the Completed or Incompleted button. When you can make changes to the times, the meet is incomplete and unavailable to be considered for Top Times. You just press the button and it will change to Completed and you will see the grid change color to a GRAY showing the grids is disabled.
After setting at least one meet as Completed the Top Times will be automatically calculated.
Rebuild Top Times
If you want to manually force a recalculation of the Top Times, you would go to the Tools > Rebuild Top Times... menu. It will present the following dialog where you can select meets, then press the Ok button. This will run through all the completed meets in order by start date for the meet. If a swimmer has a time > 0 and placed >= 0 or is set to Participant (PAR) the time will be stored in Top Times if better than the time already there. If you don't see a time, you should review that all meets are completed and that the swimmers placed in an event and has a time.
Viewing Top Times
Once you have created entries, entered results and then completed the meet; you should have some Top Times. Use the Top Times button to see these results for each swimmer that are by stroke and distance. This will be the seed time that is used for new meets.
Meters to Yards Conversions
The times that are in the Top Times is in either Yards or Meters depending on what option you set in the Options > Conversion tab using the "Yards", "SC Meters" or "LC Meters" radio button. Right now the conversion is the same for meters no matter you pick the "SC Meters" or "LC Meters".
When a seed time is needed for seeding or entries, the time is extracted from the Top Times and converted to the course used by the meet of either yards or meter times.
