Conversion

Conversion

Base Date

The base date is used when calculating the age of swimmers based on what age they are at the date specified in the calandar.

Time Standards

The times stored in the Top Times are in either of Yards or Meters depending on if you specify Yard for yards or SC/LC Meters for meters.

Disable Meter/Yard Conversion

When a seed time in the Top Times is used in a meet that is in a time standard other than the one specified above, WinSwim will do a conversion of the time to the other format. The calculation for the conversion is determined by the values in the Conversion table using the StrokeKey and Sex to determine the Seconds and Factor.

Calculations

Meter Time = (Yard Time - Seconds) / Factor

Yard Time = (Meter Time * Factor) + Seconds

Conversion Grid

Disable Altitude Time Conversions

WinSwim has the ability to make seed time conversions based on altitude of the meet. If this option is unchecked then WinSwim will do an altitude conversion when times are placed in entries.

Adjusted Time = Time - Seconds

Altitude Adjustment

Always Age-Up to Today

When you go to a new season the ages of swimmers get older as a year goes by. You can let WinSwim automatically adjust the Age in the Members table each time the database is opened by checking this option.

Maximum Individual Placed Printed

When labels are printed this is a way to limit the number of labels printed. As example, if this value is set to 6th, the only 1st-6th place will be printed. This also controls the automatic placing logic in the results explorer. Any placing above this value is set to participate (PAR) instead of the number.

Maximum Relay Placed Printed

When labels are printed this is a way to limit the number of labels printed. As example, if this value is set to 6th, the only 1st-6th place will be printed.
