From Winswimwiki
The objective of Dolphin Timers is to show how you setup and enter times in WinSwim

Setup Dolphin Options
To use the Dolphin timer, you need to set the option within WinSwim saying the Dolphin is going to be used and provide the folder where the times are going to be located. Go to the option from the menus, Edit > Options > Interface. Change the external interface to be the Colorado Time Dolphin.
Timers Variance
There is a combobox called Timers variance causing a warning that can be set where if the variance is exceeded, than a warning message is provided so the times can be double checked.
After Committing Times
A couple of checkboxs are options where you can have WinSwim automatically set the place and score the event when the times are committed from the Dolphin.
Results Explorer
With WinSwim, you can easily capture these times by race by clicking the mouse on either the Event or the Heat node. Then, either press the Ctrl-D key or use the right mouse click to select the Interface > Get Times.
A dialog will pop-up and automatically display the Dolphin .DO3 files. Depending on if you are positioned on a Heat or Event, you will get either the dialog for updating a single heat or a dialog where you can drag and drop to all the heats in the event. When completed, you simply just click the "Commit" button and these results are entered and optionally automatically placed and points assessed.
WinSwim has some rules on how it handles multiple timers. If there is just one timer, then that time is used. If there are two times, then both times are averaged together. If there are three timers then the middle time that is between the high and low time is used.
